Ph.D. student, Mehrnoosh Afshang, awarded 3rd place in Society of Rheology Student Poster Competition
Mehrnoosh Afshang, a Ph.D. student in the Davidson School of Chemical Engineering at Purdue University, was awarded 3rd place in the Best Student Poster Award competition at the Society of Rheology's Annual Meeting. The award, presented annually since 2001, recognizes outstanding student research and presentation in the field of rheology.

Afshang holds an M.Sc. degree from Lehigh University and focuses her research on product formulation, particularly in exploring biobased alternatives. With extensive expertise in biomaterials and surface science, she has collaborated with Procter & Gamble and is known for her innovative contributions to sustainable materials. Afshang is advised by Professor Kelly Schultz, the Larry and Virginia Faith Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering.
