On March 8, an ECE undergraduate student group presented their poster at the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) Illinois/Indiana Section conference hosted by Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. The poster was "Augmented Reality Simulator" presented by Thor Smith on a Fall 2013 Senior Design project and entered into the 2014 Cornell Cup by Intel competition. The poster won 2^nd place out of 14 posters in the poster competition. It describes the creation of an immersive heads-up display helmet designed to provide a 3D augmented collaborative simulation. Expected applications for this functionality include: education, gaming, virtual tours, and artistic performances where small teams of users can work together in the same augmented reality environment.
