Graduate Student I-Fan Lin has won 2nd place at the Second Annual Academic Community Engagement Poster Presentation. The posters in the presentation reflect different service/community engagement projects by Purdue students and organizations.

I-Fan is one of four student leaders in the Boiler Out! Volunteering Program, which is organized by the Purdue Office of International Students and Scholars, and consists of 250 international students that volunteer in local community service projects. Every semester four students serve as leaders to help organize various volunteering activities, such as the organization of Singing Valentines for nursing homes, engaging members as socializers at the Almost Home Humane Society, and preparing and serving food at Lafayette Transitional Housing Center for the homeless. These activities represent the three core values of Boiler Out!: Outreach, Understanding and Teamwork.
