Professor Joerg Appenzeller named Fellow in American Physical Society

Selection is limited to no more than one half of one percent of the APS membership. Professor Appenzeller was cited "for pioneering contributions to the physics, technology, and modeling of one and two-dimensional transistors and circuits."

Professor Joerg Appenzeller has been named a Fellow in the American Physical Society. No more than one half of one percent of the membership are selected.

The criterion for election is exceptional contributions to the physics enterprise; e.g., outstanding physics research, important applications of physics, leadership in or service to physics, or significant contributions to physics education. Fellowship is a distinct honor signifying recognition by one's professional peers.

He was cited "for pioneering contributions to the physics, technology, and modeling of one and two-dimensional transistors and circuits".
