Professor Kaushik Roy awarded Fulbright-Nehru Distinguished Chair
Professor Kaushik Roy has been awarded the Fulbright-Nehru Distinguished Chair. It is a four month grant jointly funded by the governments of the United States and India starting December 2013.
The distinguished chair fellowships for four months are designed for full professors to teach graduate students at the host institution, travel to prominent higher education institutions to give guest lectures and take part in symposia and conferences. Distinguished Chairs also work with faculty members at the host institution on program development and curriculum design.
Recipients of this award must hold the rank of full professor and have an outstanding record of scholarly accomplishments and substantial teaching experience.
Professor Roy will be affiliated to the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, India.
