Aida Ebrahimi, a PhD candidate working with Professor Muhammad A. Alam, has been selected as one of the Rising Stars in EECS. This program brings together top 60 EECS graduate and postdoctoral women from USA and Europe who are interested in academia, for two days of scientific interactions and informal sessions. This year's program will be hosted by the MIT Department of EECS on November 9th and 10th, 2015.

The title of Aida's dissertation is "Droplet-based non-Faradaic Impedance Sensing for Combating Antibiotic Resistance". She enjoys working on multidisciplinary problems involving device fabrication, characterization, modeling, and engineering, and uses these skills to address engineering problems for advancing the state of the art of a specific field.
