This year, the committee envisions OWOP a university wide celebratory event. Hence, the OWOP committee would like to invite all cultural associations in schools and colleges to collaborate. As can be seen above, there are already several organizations that have signed up to be a part of OWOP. Below are the steps on how your organization can also be a part of this mega-celebration.

How can your organization be a part?

There are 4 different ways that organizations can be involved in OWOP:

  • Booths: There will be multiple opportunities (Opening Ceremony, Closing Ceremony, etc.) for organizations to represent and promote themselves through booths. During that time, organizations can give out SWAG, flyers and talk to people about their events.
  • Performances: There will be a few opportunities for organizations to have performances that showcase their culture. These may be in the form of pop-up performances, a dance contest, and more.
  • Events: One or more organizations can host events during the OWOP timeline. These events do not have to be newly created for OWOP and can be the ones from the Organization’s Fall schedule. Potential participation in this category could include Poster Sessions, Panels, Week-long displays, etc.
  • For all the categories stated above, the OWOP committee will provide help based on need such as logistical, marketing, or planning.

What will your organization gain?

As a part of OWOP, your organization’s participation will be included in the OWOP calendar and all other promotional material. Organizations which are a part of OWOP will also promote each other providing organizations a diverse audience. Finally, by being a part of OWOP, your organization will be part of a large university-wide celebration of Purdue’s cultural diversity.
