Matthew Krawczyk receives the Harold T. Amrine Award in Industrial Engineering

Amrine receiving his award
The Harold T. Amrine award is given to the IE undergraduate student that best portrays outstanding leadership and academic achievement. Among his many achievements, Matthew is currently the president of the student chapter of IIE and is an exceptional scholar.

This Award celebrates Dr. Harold T. Amrine, the first Head of the IE School.  During its foundational period in the 1950s, as IE moved from an idea to a department to a School, Dr. Amrine served as the organizational and inspirational leader – and then when IE achieved School status, he served as Head from 1961-1969.

This annual award has been endowed through the generosity of our alumni. Dr. James R. Evans, a 1972 Purdue IE BS and MS Graduate who is currently a Professor at the University of Cincinnati, provided the lead gift.  We thank Jim and the other contributors for their support of this award.
