Unfinished: The Mystery of the 130-Year-Old Diploma

The 1892 calfskin was in amazing condition. A die-cut gold seal adorned the left side, and precisely-drawn calligraphy augmented the crisp printed blackletter text. Winning senior design project makes graphene manufacturing easier

A team of Purdue mechanical engineering students have devised a cheaper, cleaner, and easier way to transfer the nano-material graphene onto a chosen substrate, which has potential to revolutionize how heat is handled in smartphones and computers. The team won the Malott Innovation Awards, given to the best senior design project of the year.
