Tim has spent over 37 years in the nuclear power industry. After earning a BS in Nuclear Engineering from Purdue University in 1987, Tim began a career with Commonwealth Edison as an Engineer at Quad Cities Station. Over the next three and a half decades, Tim provided leadership in various departments, including Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, and Training. After these rotations, Tim served in executive positions as Plant Manager, Site Vice President, Senior Vice President of Nuclear Projects, Senior Vice President of Operation, Senior Vice President Operations Support and ultimately Chief Operating Officer, Nuclear Operations for Constellation Energy Group where Tim was responsible for the operations of Constellations 21 nuclear reactors.
During his career, he earned a Senior Reactor Operators license and served as Chairman of the Executive Oversight Committees for both the Boiling Water Reactor Owners group and Boiling Water Reactor Vessel Internals Program. He also earned an MBA from Saint Ambrose University.
He retired from Constellation in 2024 and formed Hanley Consulting, LLC and continues working supporting the existing nuclear fleet and advocating for the next generation of nuclear plants.
