Disambiguation - Outlook Archive
Outlook has three options that can potentially be called "Archive".
Discussing this can sound like an Abbott and Costello routine.
- The first is a folder called "Archive" inside of the main mailbox, at the same level as Inbox, Sent Items, Deleted, etc.
- The second is a file that is manually created whose default name is Archive.pst - This is not heavily used, and has one additional disadvantage - this is not visible with mobile devices.
- The third is a special Office365 license that is applied to a mailbox, that adds an amount of extra storage (over the 100G of default mailbox space). Also called "Archive", this causes confusion. This is not heavily used, and has one additional disadvantage - this is not visible with mobile devices.
To disambiguate, we suggest we call
Option 1 - "Standard archive"
Option 2 - "Archive PST"
Option 3 - "Nearline Archive"
