James Mock is a senior in Chemical Engineering and has been involved with the OPP since freshman year. James has completed internships with Cleveland Cliffs Steel and, most recently, Intel in process engineering roles. James is entering his 5th semester of assisting the OPP with a range of seminars, career fairs, and other programs to support student development.

 

In his role with Intel, James worked in Chemical Mechanical Planarization group, optimizing process parameters to recover capability in older machines. Through this and other projects across several work experiences, James focuses on process optimization and project management.

 

Beyond school, James is often cooking and watching soccer as well as entertaining a growing obsession with hiking and undertaking several backpacking trips. He also enjoys gaining knowledge of nutrition and optimal exercise techniques.
