Kasandra Rea-Padilla is a third-year Mechanical Engineering student at Purdue University Indianapolis. This past summer she completed an internship with BLA, a Civil Engineering consulting firm, as a Design Engineer. There she focused on developing and analyzing construction blueprints for projects around the city of Indianapolis.

 

In addition to her professional pursuits, Kasandra is involved with various on campus organizations. She is a part of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) and the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), where she holds the position of Vice President of Finance. Aside from school, Kasandra enjoys painting, traveling, and spending time with her family.
