Biography

 
Katrin is the Assistant Director, Co-op Programs & Student Development in Indianapolis. In her role, Katrin is responsible for program implementation, administration of the various models of co-op certificates, advising, mentorship, and development and coordination of internships and co-ops with domestic and global companies. She also works collaboratively with faculty to develop specific curricular opportunities to develop skills for cooperative education, including coordination of work-integrated learning experiences and ENGR 103 Intro to Professional Practice. 
 
Prior to transitioning to this role, Katrin has been with the Office of Student and Career Services in the School of Engineering and Technology on the Indianapolis campus for over 7 years. During this time, she worked closely with incoming students and their families, as well as current engineering and technology students. She enjoys building relationships with students, mentoring, and coaching them and help them pursue their goals. She also has been an instructor for a first-year seminar class to engineering students for several years. 
 
Katrin first came to Indianapolis as an international student and graduated with a Purdue degree from the College of Science. She is also a licensed Physical Therapist in her home country Germany. In her free time Katrin enjoys spending time with family, traveling, attending local theater, concerts, and sporting events in Indianapolis.
