Biography

Joe Tort is the Associate Director for Professional Practice. He has 20 years of experience in Higher Education including roles as Director of Study Abroad at the University of Northern Colorado, International Admissions Counselor at Purdue, and Assistant Director for Global Professional Practice at OPP. He holds a BS in Anthropology and an MA in Higher Education and Student Affairs. Joe’s work involves developing and university partnerships, advising and mentoring students, teaching intercultural and professional skills courses, and program assessment. Joe is a Qualified Administrator of the Intercultural Development Inventory, a member of the Cooperative Education & Internship Association, and a steering committee member for the Annual Colloquium on International Engineering Education. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling with his wife, Tricia, and playing sports with his sons Drew and Cole.
