Inaugural GEARE Cohort

2024 Professional Practice Hall of Fame Members

For the first time in Professional Practice Hall of Fame history, the Office of Professional Practice honored six members from the inaugural GEARE cohort, who studied at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in Karlsruhe, Germany in 2003. Since then, the GEARE program has enabled over 1,000 Purdue students to gain international study and work experience. Now recognized as Purdue’s premier international work experience program, GEARE offers students a unique opportunity to integrate language study, cultural training, study abroad, domestic and international work/research experiences, and global design team projects within the 4-year Engineering curriculum.
