Purdue University has a well-earned global reputation for its renowned engineering curricula, faculty, and graduates. The Schools of Engineering share a tradition of excellence forged over the decades by the monumental changes in teaching and techniques that our modern world demands.
Underscoring the wide-ranging achievements of the people of our Schools of Engineering is the designation of Distinguished Engineering Alumni. The men and woman we honor have made a profound impact on their profession, their communities, and their world. Our year 2000 honorees have shared realized dreams, and their professional and personal lives certainly serve as an inspiration to colleagues, fellow professionals, and the next generation.
We recognize them at a remarkable time in Purdue engineering's history. Exciting plans are under way to upgrade and expand facilities to ensure that the breadth and acclaim of the Schools of Engineering will remain world-class in a new millennium. The future is unfolding, and Boilermaker engineers will give it shape and substance.
